The Men’s basketball team lost their final game of the season on Thursday, March 12, to Carver Bible College 70-65. The loss knocked the Royals out of contention in the NCCAA Division 1 tournament. The Royals finish with a final record of 20-11, the team’s best finish since the 2011-12 season in which they finished 24-11. While it may be hard to accept the loss for the Royals, they should be proud of their many accomplishments achieved this season. Seniors Keevis Tukes, Brandon Poore and Jason Pospichal will all be huge losses for next year’s team, and they will be missed as fan favorites and key players to the team. Warren Hall finished as the leading point scorer this season for the Royals, averaging 19.9 points per game, the highest total for a Royal in a season in the last 8 years. The Royals will have most of the team returning next year, so it should be another good season Coach Hanrahan and the team.
